Averaging a block and 1.4 steals per game, Evans is the kind of two-way wing that should draw significant interest towards the back end of the first round. He’s also shooting 37.4 percent from deep, emerging as a key piece on both sides of the ball for second-seeded Cincinnati.
The Lakers already have some promising wing depth in Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart, but it’s hard to overstock quality defenders and plus shooters. Evans should be able to step directly into the rotation if needed.
This is, of course, the Lakers’ only pick, as their own selection will most likely end up in Philadelphia.
