Dallas doesn’t have much to build on in the frontcourt. Dwight Powell has had a promising season, but it’s tough to consider him a legitimate building block. Nerlens Noel‘s future is all but certain at this point.

Bagley has dropped on most boards, but the reasoning behind that drop seems shaky. His lack of length could hurt him defensively, but he’s an insane athlete who, at 6-11, is fully capable of switching onto the perimeter and sticking with smaller players when needed.

He’ll need to add some more polish offensively, but he also entered college a year early. His production is undeniable, to boot. His motor on the glass, finishing around the paint, and improving three-point shot are all things a team like Dallas should be intrigued by. His ceiling is extremely high.
