I liked the idea of LeBron to the Philadelphia 76ers. Past tense. You see, I can create a fit for the venerable veteran with plenty of gas in the tank joining a team of equally talented but raw players as sort of a “pay-it-forward” gesture.  A sage veteran whose career has left so many in awe. A new upstart team created in the most unorthodox way.

And the combination of past, present, and future for the Philadelphia 76ers in such a way that the team achieves par level with the Golden State Warriors, the Houston Rockets, and perhaps a higher perspective than that of the Toronto Raptors or Boston Celtics.

Statesman combinging with raw talent? What could go wrong? Skip Bayless!

A good fit? If LeBron is ready to adapt to the Philadelphia 76ers, and lower the volume from team leader to team counselor, advisor, statesman, then yes. And then, like a thunderbolt out of the blue, this happened:

Suddenly, I have to rethink my position. If Skip Bayless promotes something, there is something wrong with it. You see, Bayless sells controversy. Not just the upside of something, but the downside as well. He loves to pump up something, and then tear it down again.  That’s his place in the market. It’s what he does.
