Old rumor, new Bayless endorsement

Nobody is selling anything new here. The rumor of LeBron to Philadelphia began as whispers when the 2017-2018 season began, and has grown to loud piercing thunder of today.  And it has some merits to consider LeBron’s skillset on this Philadelphia 76ers team, as we pointed out months ago.

This 76ers roster is bursting with incredible NBA talent. Not just good, but perhaps NBA record-setting talent. And that level of talent, and the fun on this team, is a very persuasive sell to free agents in the NBA looking for a team to help win an NBA Championship.

76ers team on the rise

The Philadelphia 76ers are one such team. This team never negotiated a win today for a championship tomorrow. Now that the plan is coming together, the incredible success of all forces coming together is pretty impressive. The team is crippled without Dario Saric nor Joel Embiid, but just won their 12th consecutive game.  That’s pretty impressive.

Still, this will be the Philadelphia 76ers first experience with NBA Playoffs with this configuration of players and coaches. So what about this 76ers team prompted Skip Bayless to take a stand on LeBron signing with the team?  Controversy. LeBron is the most covetted free agent in 2018. And despite the success of the Philadelphia 76ers, the team continues to attract the most vitriol in the NBA.
