Gilgeous-Alexander was a big riser all season, quickly emerging as Kentucky’s most consistent playmaker on the offense end. Combining nice physical tools and a crafty offensive game, he should work his way into the lottery on draft night.
It’s hard to get a grasp on the Clippers’ future. Lou Williams will be back for at least another season, but they lack a true long-term option at point guard. Gilgeous-Alexander could slide into the rotation on a playoff team.
While not overly quick, Gilgeous-Alexander’s ability to finish through traffic and make plays in the pick-and-roll should translate well to the next level. He’s also a solid defender who, once he fills out his frame, should be able to guard both ones and twos.
