NBA fines Winslow $15K

But the bad news for Justise Winslow and the Miami Heat is not quite over. Down 1-3, the Miami Heat must win the next three games, including both in Philly, to win the series. I suspect the Philadelphia fans, not known for tolerating visiting physicality, will have a ton to say about that.

And that step-on mask move by Justise Winslow in an attempt to provoke the 76ers?  Well the NBA fined the young man $15,000 for his efforts.

The move was the right step. It wasn’t a basketball move. It was just one more antic of a desperate player.  And the fine included the deliberate attempt to destroy the mask and, as a result, perhaps cause problems for the Philadelphia 76ers trying to keep Embiid on the court.
