Despite being somewhat undersized for a two-guard, Thomas’ long arms and excellent defense more than makes up that ground. He emerged as one of the best perimeter defenders in college basketball, something he should be capable of translating to the next level.
Thomas is a beast at the point of attack, using his length to swallow up opposing ball handlers and weave his way into passing lanes. He’s also a smart passer and decent slasher, turning those turnovers into productive possessions on the other end.
While not a true lead guard, Thomas can put the ball on the floor and thrives as a spot-up shooter. He’s the kind of 3-and-D asset NBA teams want.
