Smith was one of several breakout stars this season, helping to transform Texas Tech into the best team in the state. Despite being raw on the offensive end, Smith’s high-end athleticism and defensive profile has made him a lottery-range favorite.

With long arms and insane hops, Smith has a knack for blowing things up on the defensive end. He can then translate that defensive prowess into transition offense, providing a dangerous open-court weapon.

We’ve seen plenty of raw, two-way wings outperform their draft stock in recent years. Expect Smith to be a steady riser all summer.
