Another two-way comboguard, Melton’s stock dropped for a different reason: he didn’t play. As the FBI investigation made its rounds through the NCAA last season, Melton was one of the most notable casualties, spending his entire season on the sidelines.

Still, Melton showed enough in his freshman campaign to garner first round consideration. He’s a staunch defender with excellent physical tools, while his offensive game should come along in time.

He needs to tighten his handles and work his his jumper, but he’s a strong slasher with excellent passing instincts. The tools for success are undoubtedly there.
