Impact IV – Unveil that three-point shot

One of Markelle Fultz’s most impressive characteristics was that artistic approach to a three-point shot. So far, he has attempted one NBA three-point shot. Just.. one. But he has it in him, and while he did not see much occasion to unveil that shot against the Miami Heat, there is no such veteran Dwyane Wade guarding him from the Celtics roster.

So all bets are off.

Let’s face it. The most masterful stroke in this heated rivalry could be a Markelle Fultz three-point shot that lands. After all, there was a reason the team placed Fultz into the lineup with just ten games to go in the season. Was it to see what they had only? Or was it aimed at getting Fultz up to speed in time to make an NBA playoff appearance with gusto?  Here’s hoping it’s the latter.

There is no better place and no better time for Markelle Fultz to show up hitting treys. For the year’s worth of trolling and virtually the entire NBA fanbase hinting that the former Washington Husky was a potential bust, the irony would be epic.

While I think it’s a long shot to see a salvo of three-pointers from the rookie guard, you cannot dismiss the captivating headlines and instant legendary status for Fultz should he manage such a feat. Nobody sees it coming. That’s why it would be so incredible to see.
