. PG. Alabama. Collin Sexton. 11. player. 170

Mitch Kupchak could very well determine the direction of Charlotte’s franchise with this pick. Collin Sexton in the best point guard available, and he might be Kemba Walker‘s replacement if the Hornets decide to bring on a full-blown rebuild.

There were some serious red flags with Sexton at Alabama. He didn’t do much as a passer, which is concerning for a lead guard. His shot is inconsistent and he wasn’t the all-NCAA defender that many expected him to be either.

Still, Sexton is a dynamic scorer whose strong frame and explosiveness makes him difficult to stop in transiton. He thrives playing downhill, absorbing contract and finishing at a high clip around the rim. He’s one of the few players in this draft capable of carrying the offense as a shot-maker.
