Brown is a very Spurs-y pick, giving Popovich and company a versatile wing to mold into their rotation. With Kawhi Leonard‘s future seeming uncertain at best, there’s little harm to chasing some insurance on draft night.

He didn’t get much national attention at Oregon, but Brown brings a lot of intriguing tools to the table. He’s a capable playmaker with the ball in his hands, while his physical tools should bode well on the defensive end.

There’s still some room left for him to grow developmentally, but the Spurs excel in that department. A capable creator who can play off the ball and defend should find success in a Popovich-led regime.
