Miami. Lonnie Walker IV. 19. player. 125. . SG/SF

The Hawks go Best Player Available and grab some wing depth with their second pick. Walker struggled to find a rhythm early in the season, but eventually found his footing as the Canes’ best prospect.

Atlanta already has a couple of capable playmakers in Dennis Schroder and Taurean Prince. Walker could fit nicely as a long, athletic defender who thrives as a slasher and can knock down open threes.

The next step in Walker’s development will be adding more to his game off the bounce. He has already shown flashes as a scorer this season, but there’s a lot left to put together. We’ll see how the Hawks’ player development staff holds up sans Mike Budenholzer.
