. PG/SG. Real Madrid. Luka Doncic. 2. player. 27

The ping pong balls fell in New York’s favor, giving them the chance to add another cornerstone-type prospect next to Kristaps Porzingis. It happens to be another elite European prospect in Doncic.

Doncic is one of the best players in the world’s second-best basketball league, which is extremely rare for a 19-year-old. His basketball I.Q. is comparable to the likes of Ben Simmons and Lonzo Ball, while his skill set should translate well at the next level.

Limited athleticism will be a concern, but Doncic is essentially a 6-8 point guard. He’s big enough to guard a handful of positions and is skilled enough to work around those athletic limitations on the offensive end. A Doncic/Porzingis pick-and-pop would be something.
