Like Jaylen Brown a few years back, Walker is getting praised for his high-I.Q., cerebral approach to the game. He’s a smart kid who seems willing to improve, something that should endear him to NBA teams during the interview process.
The Nuggets would be an ideal pairing for Walker, a capable shot-maker who does his best work off the ball. He’s already an excellent cutter, a skill that fits nicely with Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap heading the frontcourt.
Also a solid spot-up shooter, it’s easy to picture Walker getting immediate playing time on a Nuggets team that’s vying for a playoff spot. Walker is also a plus defender, using his length to cause problems both on and off the ball.
