Evans played an integral role in Cincinnati’s rise last season, emerging as one of the prime 3-and-D prospects in this year’s class. The Pacers need a long-term point guard, but aren’t in any position to add one here. Drafting the polished two-way wing is a solid fallback.

With Victor Oladipo as the offensive focal point, Evans’ spot-up shooting and nice timing as a cutter should mesh nicely. He’s also one of the best perimeter defenders in the draft, forcing turnovers at a high clip and boasting advanced instincts on that side of the ball.

A smart player with nice physical tools, Evans should find a spot in the Pacers’ rotation. He’s the kind of all-around wing that teams crave nowadays.
