According to reports, Robinson already has a first round promise from the Lakers. The former five-star recruit was originally slated to play for Western Kentucky this season, but he eventually dropped out of school and decided to prepare for the draft full time.
Robinson’s talent has never been a question. At 7-1 with a 7-4 wingspan, his physical tools and athleticism should allow him to thrive as a rim-runner next to Lonzo Ball. He also has one of the highest defensive ceilings outside of the lottery.
That said, Robinson was somebody who would have benefited greatly from a year of college experience. He’s raw offensively and hasn’t been able to show scouts anything for virtually a year. If he does indeed have a promise at 25, though, his future could already be set.
