With their third pick, the Hawks add one of the most controversial figures in the draft. Allen created enemies aplenty during his time at Duke, becoming infamous for odd tripping incidents and embarrassing off-court meltdowns.

Despite all of the noise, however, Allen put together four strong seasons in one of college basketball’s best programs. He’s a knockdown shooter who thrives off the ball, boasting range well beyond the NBA three-point line.

He also showed out at the combine, putting together some impressive numbers in the athletic testing. Somebody with his shooting chops, NBA-ready game and underrated athleticism should find a role at the next level.
