Mohamed Bamba. 5. player. 79. . C. Texas

Bamba is a smart, well-spoken prospect with defensive potential that extends well beyond anyone in this class. His 7-10 wingspan will be the longest in the NBA, surpassing Rudy Gobert — the likely Defensive Player of the Year.

Dallas, much like Phoenix, has been hungry for a franchise big. Bamba is somebody who can anchor the paint defensively, but he’s also mobile enough to step out to the perimeter without becoming a liability. That’s important in today’s NBA.

As things currently stand, Bamba’s best offensive traits revolve around his ability to finish at the rim. He has shown flashes of three-point shooting in the past, though, something that would help him add significant value on both sides of the ball.
