Young might be the most polarizing prospect in this class. Despite historically great numbers in his one season at Oklahoma, second half struggles and an unlimited green light led many to question his ability to hold up at the next level.
Standing around 6-1, Young’s thin frame is his biggest issue. He’s not a good defender and, even with added strength, may never become a plus in that department. That alone will give teams pause, and rightfully so.
What makes Young the best non-Doncic point guard in this class, though, is his offense. With Curry-esque range and impressive passing chops, his ability to space the floor and dissect defenses in the pick-and-roll is rare. If LeBron James stays in Cleveland, watching Young and James play off one another would be quite the treat.
