In one of my old articles, I said the Markelle Fultz situation reminded me of a Black Mirror episode. Well, this is even weirder. Thanks to Colangelo acting like a child, it’s now hard to see any free agent seriously looking to join the Sixers with him as team president.

The owners need to take serious action, and quickly. If the report is true, he should be fired as soon as possible and the owners, coaches, and players need to make it known that he does not represent or define the culture of the organization.

What makes this even weirder is the fact that he used it to criticize his own players. What leader does that? Seriously? At least Kevin Durant defended himself with his burner account. The fact Colangelo threw his own players under the bus like that shows he should never have a leadership position again.

The players have every right to get mad about this, and they should. But the organization as a whole needs to stick together and focus on the one person causing problems. It does not help at all that this story broke ahead of the most important offseason in recent memory for the Philadelphia 76ers, but if the team says the right things and the players show they will still stick together, then this could prove to be a mere bump in a generally smooth road for Philly going forward.
