The fact that something like this is even real is amazing in and of itself. We’ve always heard about Colangelo’s disdain for Sam Hinkie, the Process trusters and the whole Trust the Process mantra as a whole.

Whether it’s him or someone close to him that he complains to (for the record, I think it’s his wife), it’s clear that Colangelo is a very, very insecure person and I feel bad for him that these things bother him this much. But that doesn’t take away from just how crazy this story is and some of the things that were tweeted by these accounts.

Even if it’s someone close to him like it’s suspected, talking about things like Jahlil Okafor failing a physical that caused a trade to fall through (something never reported on) is not something the president of basketball operations should be doing. I honestly don’t see any way in which Colangelo is still with the team at the start of next season.

It sucks for the team that all of this has to take place surrounding the man in charge of day-to-day operations with just over a month until the franchise’s most critical free agency period this century. If the Sixers are still dead set on acquiring a big time name in free agency, LeBron James or Paul George, or in a trade, Kawhi Leonard, then this matter HAS to be resolved quickly.
