Ayton isn’t the best prospect available, but he might have the highest upside. The Suns are widely expected to pick Ayton first, filling their frontcourt void and giving Devin Booker a running mate that compliments his skill set.
Despite defensive concerns, Ayton’s physical tools give him upside as a rim protector. He’s also a polished offensive threat, making crisp passes out of post-ups, stretching the floor and scoring on the block.
Arguably the best big man prospect since Anthony Davis, expect Ayton to generate plenty of hype between now and the season’s start.
