Donte DiVincenzo. 25. player. 20. . PG. Villanova

Lonzo Ball has never been at his best as the only ball handler on the floor. Giving him another scoring guard to play alongside makes sense, and DiVincenzo checks a lot of boxes.

On the defensive end, DiVincenzo’s ability to defend point guards consistently would allow Ball to defend the wing and roam off the ball, where he can can interrupt passing lanes and force turnovers. Offensively, DiVincenzo’s pull-up shooting and smooth three-point stroke would allow him to generate offense in a variety of situations.

Whether or not DiVincenzo is an NBA starter is questionable, but he has one of the more well-rounded offensive skill sets in the late-first round. He’d be able to provide the Lakers with valuable minutes right away.
