Huerter is the best off-ball shooter in the draft, filling a role similar to that of J.J. Redick on the perimeter. At 6-foot-7, he’s an absolute marksman coming around screens, quickly setting his feet and knocking down off-balance shots consistently.

His gravity as a shooter will open up any offense while also opening up the rest of his game. Huerter isn’t an especially creative ball handler, but he aggressively attacks closeouts, either getting to the rim or stepping into mid-range pull-ups.

He has the size and smarts needed to defend well, but will need to add some more muscle at the next level. Until then, the bulk of Huerter’s good will come on the offensive end, where he fits one of the most valuable complimentary archetypes in the NBA.
