Gilgeous-Alexander is quietly one of the better perimeter defenders in the draft. He’ll need to add more muscle, but his measurements are borderline unfair for a point guard. His length rivals that of most wings, standing 6-foot-6 with a 7-foot wingspan.

While not an elite athlete, Gilgeous-Alexander can deploy a number of crafty dribble moves to get where he wants offensively. Not many players have a superior feel for changing pace and keeping defenders off balance, whether it be on the fastbreak or slithering his way to the rim in the pick-and-roll.

Shooting will be a point of emphasis for Gilgeous-Alexander, and he’ll definitely need to quicken his release and prove he can hit NBA threes. With that said, his soft touch around the rim and ability to hit mid-range pull-ups should give optimism that he can improve as a shooter.
