Porter Jr. was the consensus No. 1 prospect last summer before Marvin Bagley III reclassified. He only played three games at Missouri, developing severe injury concerns in the process, but he has one of the highest ceilings in the draft. That’s why his stock is rising.

At 6-foot-10, Porter is a fluid athlete who can score competently at all three levels. He’s a dynamic pull-up threat out to the three-point line, while his ability to shoot and finish over smaller defenders drew comparisons to (the discount version of) Kevin Durant in high school.

Go-to scoring at his size is always valuable, especially when that player can space the floor. Porter also projects as a versatile defender given his size and athleticism. If everything checks out medically, Porter going in the top-five isn’t as crazy as some make it sound.
