Bagley’s motor is the first thing that stands out to you upon watching film. He just gets after things, especially on the glass. That’s part of the reason why his floor is so high — he projects as the best rebounder, offensive and defensive, in the 2018 class.
On the offensive end, Bagley’s athleticism also gives him some unique upside. He can hit spot-up jumpers and attack in straight-line drives , finishing with a variety of moves around the rim. He’s also a lob threat in the pick-and-roll who can occasionally handle and pass the ball.
Where Bagley’s primary concerns come into play is on the defensive end. He’s quick enough to switch onto the perimeter, but lacks the instincts and shot-blocking prowess needed to be elite on that end. He’ll need to make major strides as a team defender.
