Kentucky. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. 11. player. 170. . PG

It seems as though 11th is the absolute floor for Gilgeous-Alexander on Thursday. Jonathan Givony also hinted that the Kentucky product has been ‘angling’ to go to Charlotte or Los Angeles during his quiet pre-draft process.

The Hornets find themselves at a crossroads as an organization, boasting a lot of expensive talent and no clear path toward contention. It seems like that new-GM Mitch Kupchak will kickstart their rebuild by drafting Kemba Walker‘s inevitable replacement.

At 6-foot-6 with a 7-foot wingspan, Gilgeous-Alexander has incredible defensive tools at the one. He’s also the draft’s most effective facilitator outside of Young and Doncic, using slippery ball-handling to get into the lane and locate open teammates.
