The Philadelphia 76ers front office is already putting in the work to fill out the club’s Summer League roster with a wide assortment of players.

A young team like the Philadelphia 76ers already has a variety of young players on the team to help fill out it’s roster for the NBA Summer League. The club also has three rookies in Zhaire Smith, Landry Shamet and Shake Milton that will most likely play on the club’s Summer League roster. However, the team’s front office still needs to find players to fill out the roster and the good news is, it appears that team executives have already found at least two players.

Anthony Totri, an intern at 12 News, tweeted that point guard Tra Holder would be on the 76ers Summer League roster. Totri’s tweet was re-affirmed by azcentral reporter Doug Haller in another tweet. Holder is a very solid pickup for the Sixers. He had showed constant improvement over his four seasons at Arizona State University.

More from Sixers News

The 6-foot-1 point guard has shown slightly above average 3-point shooting during his time in college. Holder can put up points at a very good rate, but he will have to show more in other areas of his game at Summer League if he wants to impress the Sixers or any other NBA teams.

According to Mike Walters of syracuse.com, former Washington Wizard big man Chris McCullough will be added to the Sixers Summer League team. McCullough has potential as a stretch four with a career average of 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds, while shooting 30.6 percent from the 3-point line. While he has potential, it’s clear he hasn’t been able to tap into yet. If he doesn’t perform well in the Summer League, his NBA future appears to be bleak.

Both of these additions are solid moves by the Philadelphia 76ers. Both players have potential and finding players with potential for Summer League should be a priority for the franchise. The club should continue to fill out the Summer League roster with players that have high ceilings.
