7 of 8

Wilson Chandler: 76

Chandler averaged 10 points per game last season, his lowest mark since the 2011-12 campaign. Now he’ll be adjusting to a new role with the Sixers, coming off the bench behind Dario Saric at the four spot.

His defensive versatility and spot-up shooting will be a solid addition to a second unit that a) needs as much spacing as possible and b) lacked long, athletic defenders in the playoffs.

Mike Muscala: 75

Coming off the best season of his career, Muscala projects as the Sixers’ backup center next season. His offensive skill set — shooting, passing, cutting — will provide value that Amir Johnson wasn’t able to provide. He’s a solid defender as well.

More from Sixers News

Zhaire Smith: 75

The 16th overall pick in last year’s draft, Smith is still raw on the offensive end. He’s an iffy shooter, albeit much improved compared to his days at Texas Tech. He isn’t a reliable ball-handler either, doing the bulk of his damage as an off-ball cutter.

Smith is probably the best pure athlete in the draft, which is evident in all aspects of his game. His defense will be a calling card early on, as he’s capable of using his athleticism to disrupt passing lanes, protect the weak side and lock down opposing ball-handlers.

T.J. McConnell: 75

McConnell was one of the Sixers’ most important contributors in the playoffs. His ability to probe the interior, create dribble penetration and locate open teammates played a big role in the Sixers’ only second-round win against Boston. That, plus his scrappy defense, earns a solid rating.

Amir Johnson: 75

Johnson was a solid reserve last season, stabilizing the Sixers’ defense whenever Embiid sat. He’s heavily limited on offense, but understands his role and makes hustle plays that should earn playing time in some capacity.
