Porter didn’t go pro with his brother, opting to return to Missouri for another season.  He now projects as one of their featured options on offense, presenting a unique blend of scoring touch and playmaking chops to build around.

While Michael Porter Jr. has developed a score-first reputation on the wing, Jontay is a vastly different player. He fits the NBA seamlessly on offense, spacing the floor, passing out of the post and making high-I.Q. decisions at a young age.

If everything breaks right, Porter has the upside of somebody you can build an offense around. His pick-and-pop threat is NBA-ready, while his ability to face-up and read the floor, at 6-foot-11, is highly unique.

Improving his conditioning will be important for Porter. He has all the offensive tools, but will need to prove he can survive on the other end. His lack of mobility on the perimeter is something NBA coaching staffs will have to address.
