The Philadelphia 76ers showed they were oozing with talent last season, rattling off a record-setting win streak and making the conference semifinals. The abrupt end to their season in Boston, however, proved they still have room to improve.

The Philadelphia 76ers brought back much of their roster from last year. They missed out on some of the biggest names of the offseason, but decided to bring back the majority of last year’s team. There are a few new additions, but the integrity of the team remains the same.

The Sixers lacked bench contributions versus Boston. Too much pressure was on the starters. The bench production was lacking, and I still get physically ill when I have flashbacks of Marco Belinelli getting steamrolled on defense. They had the talent to trade punches, but lacked the depth to finish off games. They were incomplete.

2018-19 is a season of opportunity. We know who the stars are. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are jaw-dropping,  earth-moving talents. Dario Saric and Robert Covington are complimentary pieces, yet high-motor game changers. JJ Redick is an elite shooter. TJ McConnell is the grittiest human being alive.

After that, there are a lot of questions marks on this team. The door is wide open for someone to step up and breakout.
