Tuesday night marks our first taste of Philadelphia 76ers basketball this season.

The Philadelphia 76ers will hold their annual Blue x White scrimmage and open practice tonight, Sept. 25, from 7-9 PM E.T. at the Palestra. NBC Sports Philadelphia will broadcast the game live. Last season it was also streamed live on the Sixers’ Facebook page.

This will be our first look at the new pieces on the roster, as well as improvements from returning members. Markelle Fultz and Ben Simmons will be the focal points, with their jumpers garnering speculation, concern and optimism all summer.

As can be expected, this game won’t go at full speed. This is a light-hearted scrimmage meant to showcase everyone on the roster, including the training camp bodies. We’ll see a lot of weird rotations that won’t be seen again, and that’s okay.

That shouldn’t detract from the entertainment, though. Brett Brown might still offer a glimpse of potential lineup decisions, while both Simmons and Joel Embiid will look to make plays that excite the fans. Fans will also get to experience the ambience of the historic Palestra.

This will be the first real NBA basketball played in quite some time. Here’s what you should looking for.
