How will the Philadelphia 76ers fare against the rest of the NBA next season?

The Philadelphia 76ers won 52 games en route to claiming the third seed in 2017-18. Their season ended in disappointing fashion after a second-round loss to the Boston Celtics, but the campaign as a whole was largely positive.

Joel Embiid and Robert Covington anchored an elite defensive unit, with both earning All-Defense honors. Ben Simmons won Rookie of the Year, posting 12 triple-doubles on the season. Brett Brown finally got credit for his coaching excellence during the Sixers’ rebuild.

Now, those low expectations and pleasant surprises are gone. The Sixers are expected to compete for a spot in the NBA Finals next season, with some even calling them Eastern Conference favorites.

Embiid has put his name in the MVP conversation. Simmons wants to join the All-Defense group. Markelle Fultz is hitting threes in practice (and in games). The Sixers project as an elite, top-five NBA team.

With that in mind, let’s break down how they stack up against the NBA’s other 29 teams, ranging from Golden State to Atlanta.
