Milwaukee Bucks
Giannis Antetokounmpo (The Greek Freak) had an MVP level season last year averaging 26.9 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists. If he continues to show improvement and plays at a high level, the Milwaukee Bucks will continue to be a playoff team. However, with the addition of Mike Budenholzer as the team’s head coach, the Bucks will be contending for a top spot in the East.
The Greek Freak is poised to be one of the best players in the whole NBA for years to come and on top of it, the current Bucks roster is tailor made to play to his strengths. Sharpshooter Khris Middleton is still one of the most underrated players in the Association and point guard Eric Bledsoe is a good secondary creator off the dribble behind The Greek Freak.
Besides hiring a very good head coach, the Bucks also added big men that can spread the floor in Brook Lopez and former Sixers stretch forward Ersan Ilyasova. The Bucks still have young developing big men like Thon Maker, D.J. Wilson and former 76ers player Christian Wood that could make an impact this season.
Budenholzer should be able to take over this Bucks team and become a legit contender in the East, like he did with the Atlanta Hawks back in the 2014-15 season. This is the first time that Budenholzer has worked with a legit superstar in Antetokounmpo, so they have a legit chance to compete for a top three spot in the East.
This Bucks team may end up being one of the challenging matchups for the Sixers. While the two teams split their series last regular season, there’s a chance that the Philadelphia 76ers won’t do well in the regular season against the Milwaukee based franchise.
