Jontay Porter will miss the entire 2018-19 season with a torn MCL and ACL, which he sustained in an off-camera scrimmage. That will almost inevitably tank his stock — and maybe force him to stay another season — but he’s still a gifted offensive talent.

Getting into better shape will be key for Porter, especially after a knee injury. His defense will be the prime concern for NBA teams, with questions surrounding his ability to defend in space and contain the pick-and-roll.

He makes up that ground, however, on offense, where his post scoring, perimeter shooting and high-level passing allows him to impact the game in multiple ways. Porter is an unselfish, high I.Q. teammate who should have an NBA future.
