Zion Williamson is wholly unique, bearing little resemblance to any prospect in recent (or non-recent) memory. He might be the best athlete to enter the draft since LeBron James, if not before then. His athletic profile alone makes him a high-end prospect.

It’s not at though Zion is just an athlete, though. He’s a 6-foot-7, 280-poind freight train who can handle, pass and score at a high level, boasting one of the most underrated skill sets in the 2019 class. He’s more than the highlight mixtapes you’re accustomed to seeing.

Becoming a viable three-point shooter is an important step, but Zion can already attack off the dribble, making high-level passes on the move and finishing with touch around the basket. His defensive ceiling will be fun to explore. He’s going to be really, really good. Not putting him No. 1 might look foolish by the time June rolls around.
