No. 3

J.J. Redick has been the second most consistent offensive player for the Philadelphia 76ers during the previous month. His offensive prowess even got him an honorable mention in the October’s second player of the week award. It’s his lack of overall game that stops him from being in the top two of these rankings.

The Sixers veteran sixth man averaged 30.4 minutes, 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.1 blocks, 0.5 steals, 1.4 fouls and 1.0 turnover, while shooting 39.5 percent from the floor, 39.0 percent from downtown and 95.2 percent from the free throw line in eight games.

The sharp shooter’s best game of the previous month came against the Orlando Magic. He had his highest scoring outing of the season thus far. He finished the contest with 31 points, four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one foul, while making 10-20 from the field, 8-13 from behind the arc and 3-3 from the charity stripe in 32 minutes.

As long as Redick is coming off the bench, he is the Sixer’s best option for any type of consistent bench scoring. Hopefully, he will become more accustomed to his role off the bench as the season progresses so that he has higher shooting percentages. Whether or not Redick should be starting, it’s clear that he is the Sixers second best scoring option. Redick needs to be a featured offensive player regardless of whether he’s a starter or not.
