Villanova lost four players to the NBA after last season’s title run, leaving Eric Paschall center stage as the Wildcats’ top prospect. It hasn’t been the strongest start, but he’s a versatile forward with NBA tools.
The Celtics, who currently have four projected first-round picks, are in win-now mode. Paschall can contribute to winning basket, spacing the floor as a potential small-ball five and high-energy bench piece. He does all the little things to make an impact on both ends.
An explosive finisher and smooth spot-up shooter, it’s easy to see Paschall fitting immediately into an NBA system, similar to former teammate Omari Spellman. The Celtics can steal another solid prospect from Philadelphia, only this time from the local school.
