An underrated freshman from France, Jaylen Hoard has quickly made an impact for Wake Forest. He’s averaging 32.8 minutes per contest, tallying 16.8 points and 9.0 rebounds while accumulating impressive stats on the defensive end.
He’s a double-double machine, attacking the glass and showcasing his versatility on both ends. At 6-foot-8, he should defend two or three positions with ease. He can also score at all three levels, though his 22.2 three-point percentage needs work.
The Pacers thrive on unselfish play with hard-nosed defenders and multi-faceted pieces alongside Victor Oladipo. Hoard would be a nice addition to the second unit, giving them a worthwhile development project behind Thaddeus Young.
