Off to a strong start with prospect hub Mega Bemax, Goga Bitadze has been on draft radars for a couple seasons now. He represents an aging archetype, but he’s skilled enough to carve out an NBA role. The Celtics would need to stash at least one of their four picks.
The Celtics have put stronger, below-the-rim centers to good use in recent seasons — with Aron Baynes being the obvious example of success. Bitadze is more offensive-oriented, though, scoring with touch around the rim and boasting high-level passing chops.
If the 19-year-old can passably defend in space, it’s easy to see him living up to first round hype as a potential draft-and-stash. He’s consistently productive overseas and, despite valid question marks, should be on your radar.
