Stepping into a significant backcourt role with North Carolina, Coby White is already establishing himself as a potential one-and-done candidate. In just 22.9 minutes per game, he’s averaging 15.7 points and 3.8 assists while shooting 43.9 percent on 5.9 three-point attempts.

White represents the perfect backcourt complement for a presently short-handed Spurs team, giving Gregg Popovich another floor-spacing comboguard who can fit next to DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Much like Nassir Little, expect White’s role to grow as the season progresses. The Tar Heels aren’t known for their freshmen talent, but both Little and White should be key contributors throughout the campaign.
