The Hawks took the Warriors-lite path in the 2018 draft, selecting Trae Young, Kevin Huerter and Omari Spellman in the first round. Romeo Langford fits seamlessly into the picture, giving them another wing who can fill it up on the perimeter.
While not the best prospect available, Langford’s shooting stroke, secondary playmaking and defensive potential would fit nicely in Lloyd Pierce‘s system. He’s the go-to star at Indiana right now, pouring in 18.6 points per game. His three-point shooting (26.1 percent) should improve as the season progresses.
A bona fide bucket-getter, expect Langford to hang around the top of draft boards all season. He’s someone who will get ample shine and opportunity playing for his hometown Hoosiers, where his polished scoring arsenal will shine.
