The Suns are experiencing moderate success with Devin Booker at the point guard spot, but it isn’t a long-term solution. Quentin Grimes is the best guard in the draft, giving the rebuilding Suns an immediate solution on the perimeter.
Despite poor defensive efforts, Grimes has given scouts plenty to like in the first few weeks. His production is limited in Kansas’ crowded rotation, but he’s shooting 47.4 percent from deep and making plays when given the chance.
He has excellent size, vision and scoring instincts for his position. He’s someone who can produce to and fro with another ball-dominant guard in the NBA, such as Booker. In the same boat as Little, expect Grimes to improve his productivity as the season wares on.
