In a dominant showing of force, the Philadelphia 76ers handled business at home and for a second straight game against a disgruntled Wizards team.

With the recent announcement that Dwight Howard will miss the next 2-3 months following a spinal surgery and the disappointment with lack of team success, it is becoming apparent that the Washington Wizards may soon find themselves in a position to restart and rebuild the franchise. It is obvious that the team simply does that work in the way that it is constructed currently.

The Philadelphia 76ers made quick work of the ailing team and were able to rest the majority of their starters by the middle of the third quarter. This was the second game in a row where they were given an early night’s off.

Let’s see the grades.

After gaining a sizable lead by the midway point of the third quarter, the coaching staff felt comfortable enough to give the bench guys some run on the floor. Shake Milton, the 54th overall pick of the 2018 draft, saw the floor for the first time and drained a bucket on his very first touch. What a way to start his NBA journey.

In other news, Furkan Korkmaz continues to show why the 76ers were wrong to turn down his contract extension. The native of Turkey showed some serious flashes on the court drawing fouls and poured in 13 points off the bench even though he had a poor shooting night.

After defending their home court advantage, where they have won 12 out of 13 games, the 76ers await a surprisingly good Memphis team in Philadelphia for a Sunday night game. Extend the dominating record.
