In a dominant showing of force, the Philadelphia 76ers handled business at home and for a second straight game against a disgruntled Wizards team.

With the recent announcement that Dwight Howard will miss the next 2-3 months following a spinal surgery and the disappointment with lack of team success, it is becoming apparent that the Washington Wizards may soon find themselves in a position to restart and rebuild the franchise. It is obvious that the team simply does that work in the way that it is constructed currently.

The Philadelphia 76ers made quick work of the ailing team and were able to rest the majority of their starters by the middle of the third quarter. This was the second game in a row where they were given an early night’s off.

Let’s see the grades.

Philadelphia 76ers. JOEL EMBIID. A. 22 mins | 16 pts | 15 reb | 0 ast | 0 stl | 3 blk | 0 TO | 5-12 FG | 1-3 3PT| 5-10 FT | 0 PF | +30 |
Another game, another dominant showing by Joel Hans Embiid. 22 minutes was all that was needed for MVP and DPOY candidate to secure a hefty lead for the Sixers. A look at his plus/minus is enough to show his presence, however Joel was just a force offensively and defensively. Especially in the first quarter where he nearly had a double-double. There has yet to be a center who can slow Joel down this season.
. C

B+. 25 mins | 13 pts | 8 reb | 10 ast | 1 stl | 0 blk | 6 TO | 5-5 FG | 0-0 3PT| 3-3 FT | 3 PF | +22 |
Just like Joel, Ben was dominating the basketball court in the short amount of time that he played during the game. Obviously the six turnovers were an issue, but Ben was able to play in transition, feed his teammates, and even dunk the ball through the hoop himself. He deserves a spot on the all-star team for his play this season. Also, I am definitely here for Headband Ben.
. PG. Philadelphia 76ers. BEN SIMMONS

Philadelphia 76ers. T.J. MCCONNELL. B. 22 mins | 15 pts | 2 reb | 3 ast | 2 stl | 0 blk | 3 TO | 6-10 FG | 1-2 3PT| 2-2 FT | 1 PF | +13 |
T.J. “Money” McConnell was feeling himself on Friday night. Whether he was sprawling over the floor for a loose ball or weaving through a crowded lane to pull up for his comfortable shot, T.J. continued to show the tenacity that the people of Philadelphia enjoy so much. Although he had issues with turnovers, T.J. showed why he will certainly get paid by some team next summer.
. PG

B. 27 mins | 12 pts | 4 reb | 2 ast | 1 stl | 0 blk | 0 TO | 5-9 FG | 2-4 3PT| 0-0 FT | 3 PF | +4 |
Landry Shamet, the steal of the draft, continues to evolve into the player that the Sixers hope will eventually take over the role that <a href=. SG. Philadelphia 76ers. LANDRY SHAMET

C. 32 mins | 12 pts | 10 reb | 2 ast | 0 stl | 2 blk | 0 TO | 2-9 FG | 2-7 3PT| 6-7 FT | 2 PF | +9 |
Mike “Moose” Muscala had a rough shooting night on Friday. What really helps Muscala is the fact that the Sixers were able to easily defeat the Wizards and continue to hold a strong record at home. Muscala just did not seem interested at times on the court, even not paying attention to T.J. throwing him a pass that hit him in the chest and led to a turnover for the other team. Hopefully, he will not bring this energy into the next game and have a bounce-back effort.
. After gaining a sizable lead by the midway point of the third quarter, the coaching staff felt comfortable enough to give the bench guys some run on the floor. Shake Milton, the 54th overall pick of the 2018 draft, saw the floor for the first time and drained a bucket on his very first touch. What a way to start his NBA journey.

In other news, Furkan Korkmaz continues to show why the 76ers were wrong to turn down his contract extension. The native of Turkey showed some serious flashes on the court drawing fouls and poured in 13 points off the bench even though he had a poor shooting night.

After defending their home court advantage, where they have won 12 out of 13 games, the 76ers await a surprisingly good Memphis team in Philadelphia for a Sunday night game. Extend the dominating record.
