After foregoing the draft las season, P.J. Washington is looking to establish himself as a first-round pick. Standing 6-foot-7 with a solid frame and 7-foot-3 wingspan, Washington has one of the highest defensive ceilings outside the projected lottery discussion.

The offense remains a work in progress, but Washington has developed a solid face-up game, using his strong frame to get to the rim and finish inside. He’s also an apt mid-range shooter, with range that’s beginning to extend beyond the three-point line more often.

While the sample size is small, Washington is shooting 58.3 percent from deep through eight games. If he regresses to around 35+ percent on the season (compared to 23.8 percent as a freshman), expect him to move further up draft boards.
