Philadelphia 76ers Player Rankings: New star and dynamic
The Philadelphia 76ers added a new star in the month of November, which changed the dynamic of the franchise’s power structure.
Instead of having this as just the top five players of the month, this is ranking all the Philadelphia 76ers players that are currently on the roster. Players that were traded away (sorry Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Jerryd Bayless) or waived during the previous month won’t included in these rankings.
The Sixers saw a major change in the month of November with the acquisition of Jimmy Butler. Philly went 12-4 for the previous month and getting Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves played a big part into the overall team’s success.
16. Justin Patton
November Stats: None
The second year big man is surely one of the most forgettable pieces of the Butler trade, but there’s a chance that he can provide value once he returns to good health. As of now, Patton could prove to be a solid backup center and maybe even better than the aging Amir Johnson.
15. Zhaire Smith
November Stats: None
Smith is only above Patton due to Smith’s higher ceiling of potential. The month of November was a weird one in regards to news with Smith. The Ringer reported a disturbing set back the rookie experienced that wasn’t known before hand and put the wing’s season debut into jeopardy. Luckily not too long after The Ringer’s report, a recover plan was announced for Smith that included the rookie rehabbing/playing for the Blue Coats.

14. Demetrius Jackson

In his one showing for the Sixers, Jackson didn’t do bad. However, unless injury occurs it’s unlikely that he gets much more playing time than the occasional garbage time moving forward. On the flip side, Jackson has been dominating in the G-League. In four games thus far with the Blue Coats, he’s averaged 26.3 points on 47.5 percent shooting from the floor and 36.7 percent shooting from downtown.
13. Shake Milton

Milton had an impressive outing in his one game for the Sixers this past month. His physical gifts and shooting potential were on full display in his NBA debut. Along with his two 30-plus point outings in the G-League and 20.9 points, the Blue Coats season average will prompt head coach Brett Brown to give the late second round pick a shot at more playing time in Philly down the road.
