With the 2019 NBA Draft class rounding into shape, who might the Philadelphia 76ers target?

The Philadelphia 76ers are firmly in the playoff race, which means the 2019 NBA Draft is a secondary concern. An above-.500 record from Sacramento doesn’t help, virtually eliminating the Sixers’ chances at the No. 1 pick — it does, at the very least, hurt the Celtics’ position.

Compared to the 2018 draft, 2019 lacks depth. The elite-tier talent remains elite — Zion has once-in-a-generation upside — but there isn’t a ton of intrigue outside the lottery. At least not to the extent there was last season.

Right now, Duke maintains a firm grasp on the top. You can read our most recent big board here, featuring an all-North Carolina top four. The top-heavy class runs through one program this season.

Per usual, the draft order is simulated via Tankathon. The standings are updated as of Dec. 19, meaning the Sixers land at 24. Given the current depth issues, the Sixers should crave the opportunity to add another cost-controlled contributor.
